Introducing: Text Reminders for Acupuncture Patient Appointments

It's been amazing to witness the quick rise of the cell phone and it's subsequent morph into the smartphone. The ubiquity of the mobile phone in our daily lives is astounding.

One of the core features that everyone uses on their mobile phones is still text messaging. Text messaging allows for easy asynchronous communication which is conducive in the hectic, fast paced world, we live it.

As an acupuncturist and a business owner, one of your main tasks is communication, and to effectively communicate in a way that your patients hear your message. And as a whole generation is growing up preferring to communicate through text messaging on their mobile phones, it's important to keep up with the times.

That's why today, I'm excited to announce that Jasmine now provides SMS/text reminders!

Text reminders solves many problems for your acupuncture practice and patients.

Automatic Confirmation and Reminder of Appointments

When a patient is scheduled for an appointment, Jasmine will automatically send a text confirmation notifying your patient that their appointment has been booked. A day before the appointment, your patient will also get a text reminder of the appointment.

All, helping you streamline your practice, so that you're spending more time treating patients and off the phone and email!

Avoid No Shows

Nothing is worse than waiting for a patient to show up for their appointment and watching the minutes tick by past the appointment time wondering if they'll walk through the door. A no show cost you both time and money! (And, your sanity!)

With text reminders, you can reduce no shows by having the appointment front and center at the top of your customers mind!

I hope to see you streamline your practice with text reminders. Happy texting!

What's an Acupuncture CRM?

You might be asking yourself, what's a CRM?

CRM is short for Customer Relationship Management. A CRM helps you and your business manage your relationships with your current and potential customers.

Before, computers, businesses used a rolodex and address book to keep track of their customers. And, they sent letters, phone calls and face to face meetings to nurture and grow those relationships. Businesses relied mostly on memory and written notes to keep track of those interactions.

When computers first came along, we moved to electronic address books and emails. Still, no organization of customer interactions and relationships.

Then, came CRM!

Why do you need a CRM for your practice?

Your practice and business starts with great customer relationships. As your practice grows, these business connections increase in number and complexity, making managing those relationships more difficult. This is why a CRM is important.

As marketer Jennifer Burnham says on the Salesforce Blog,

“While a CRM system may not elicit as much enthusiasm these days as social networking platforms like Facebook or Twitter, any CRM system is similarly built around people and relationships. And that’s exactly why it can be so valuable for a fast-growing business.”

It is important to keep in mind that a CRM is all about relationships.

Common CRM Concepts

Contact

At the heart of your business and CRM are the Contacts. Contacts, just as in your address book, are the records for the people important to your business. They contain the names and personal info of your patients and clients.

Lead

A lead is someone who has shown interest in your business and services and is a potential customer.

Campaign

Campaigns refers to marketing campaigns. They help you keep track of the different marketing efforts for your business.

Activity

Activities capture all the interactions with a particular contact. Remembering all the interactions with your contacts for future reference.
